We are Arwen, Gustav, Tikanoja, Ice-Bear, Glentara, Donnamira, Brego, Kaia, Fanlauriell, Quontiki and our Main Coon Amadeus besides our human Tanja. We all live at the edge of the city of Wuppertal in a homely big house with a lot of green around. We have a beautiful big balcony and an outdoor enclosure in which we can run riot.

Our human is a fabulous canoodler and food preparer and we have great plays with her as well. But we can let Tanja tell the story how it all began:

I always had pets, but I never thought of having cats, not to mention to be engaged with them so intensively …

But it all went different … The wish to know more about cats, particulary this special race, was seeded when I saw a famous movie. Due to her size and charisma I fall in love with the acting cat. I went on to explore which kind of cat it was and visited my first cat exhibition, walked from cage to cage, compared the two races (in the film it was a different race than the Norwegian Forest Cat), pestered the breeders with questions and finally I got to the cages with the Norwegian Forest Cats …


Well, sixteen weeks later time had come – my first two Norwegian Forest Cats moved into my home, Arwen and Aragon. It was love at first sight, although both were rather cautious during my numerous visits of the breeder. The time of the growing up of the two was a very exciting one, but I won’t miss it for anything in this world. Today there are nine Norwegian Forest Cats blustering and one male Maine Coon.
